New Delhi, Nov 12: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has given his word to help Kingfisher Airlines out of finacial crisis. In his return to India after the SAARC summit, PM said that he has not applied his mind yet on Kingfisher problem. When he arrived in India he will meet Civil Aviation Minister, Vayalar Ravi, in this regards.

Sources claimed that PM will consult Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on the package for Kingfisher airlines. Manmohan Singh said that Private sectors should manage effectively but "if they do get into difficulties, we have to find ways and means to help them."

This comes a day after Kingfisher canceled over 40 flights on Sunday, and more than 160 flights over the last seven days. Vijay Mallya, chairman of Kingfisher Airlines, reeling from the cash-trouble tweeted, "Is it Kingfisher's duty to fly on loss-making routes when state governments tax heavily? Or should we be financially prudent and fly profitably?"

"Every government has gone out of the way to support airlines and connectivity. In India, airlines are over-taxed and over-charged. Wonder why?" tweeted Mallya.
