New York: APJ Abdul Kalam frisked again by US securitymen

APJ Abdul Kalam
New Delhi, Nov 13: India's ex-President APJ Abdul Kalam was frisked by the US officials on Sep 2011 at the JFK Airport in New York.

Despite the previous protests, the US officials checked APJ Abdul Kalam and took away his coat and shoes while he was seated inside the Air India flight.

However, in 2009, he was frisked at the Delhi airport by the US officials like any other passengers. This year again Kalam was frisked by the security men.

Meanwhile, the Air India officials protested, the security officials relented but still took away his coat and shoes and returned it back after a swab analysis. The Air India and the Bureau of Civil Aviation security (BCAS) have informed the government about the incident.
