Punjab, Nov 3: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal accused central government for discriminating in sanctioning funds for the state.

While addressing a gathering at the Chhinj Mela, Badal blamed the centre for the delayed development in the state.

Badal alleged that the Congress always acted against the interest of the people in the state. He also condemned the incident where the army people entered into the Golden temple stating that it remained the biggest blot on the secular credentials of Congress.

Continuing his tirade against the party, Badal said that Congressmen in the state under the leadership Amarinder Singh wanted to dampen the smooth progress in the ongoing paddy procurement but his government wouldn't allow them in doing so.

"So much so that Amarinder did not want Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to come Punjab to inaugurate Khalsa Heritage complex and Mohal International Airport," the Punjab CM said.

Badal also accused Amarinder of using objectionable words against his political opponents. He said, "There is a huge difference between me and Amarinder. I am older than him and he should avoid using such words."
