Model loses job for being in relationship with Gaddafi
According to the company spokesperson, Albert Fetsch the German Company, Telecommunications firm Telefonica Germany will soon stop working with Vanessa Hessler, the model and remove her face from their website.
"Vanessa Hessler has failed to distance herself from her comments on the conflict in Libya," said Fetsch.
The 23-year-old model told the Italian magazine Diva e Donna that she was dating Mutassim Gaddafi who died in Oct with his father.
"I didn't have any contact with him since the uprising broke out, but our relationship was one of passion," she said.
"The Gaddafi family is not as they are being depicted, they are normal people."
She further said that her heart ached for Libya, adding that the rebels are "people who don't know what they're doing."
Talks between Hessler's agency and Telefonica did not yield any result as the model stood by her comments, said Fetsch.
"We and our clients have no comprehension for what she said."
