The babies will fast for an hour at the Koodankulam nuclear plant, she said further.
"While the world is celebrating the birth of seven billionth baby, we wanted to highlight that the planet should be secure for our children to live on. Hence infants aged between three and five months with their mothers will fast for an hour at Idinthakarai near Koodankulam," said M Pushparayan, convener of Coastal People's Federation.
He further said that the infants will be in cradle next to their mothers during their protest.
Meanwhile, the machineries for the Kudankulam nuclear power plant were found to be damaged, a top nuclear engineer had said earlier.
The engineer had said that the machineries were imported from Russia about ten years ago.
People have been agitating and fasting since Oct 18 against the setting up of the Nuclear Power Plant keeping in mind the safety issues.
The AIADMK government also came forward in support of the agitators in their fight asking the government to address the issues raised by the commoners.
