"We will consult with our higher officials on the matter before converting the complaint into FIR," said the official on being asked if an FIR was filed.

Koda's hand was fractured in the incident after he was allegedly beaten up by the jail inmates. He is currently lodged in the jail for his alleged involvement in a multi crore scam.

"He was admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences with injury in his hand," he said.

"We were sitting on a dharna peacefully demanding quality food when jail guards attacked us with lathis," said Koda adding that he was beaten up by the jail authorities.

"They were beating me as if they wanted to eliminate me. It's a political conspiracy and I demand a judicial probe into the whole incident," said Koda.
