Arunachal Pradesh CM Jarbom Gamlin resigns

Itanagar, Oct 31: After resigning from All India Congress Committee (AICC), Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin resigned from the chief minister post on Monday.

He resigned due to leadership tussle in the state and high-command told him to resign to resolve the tussle in the state.

Around 24 congress MLAs supported the party president Nabam Tuki for the next Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh congress leaders met Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the issue last week.

Senior state Cabinet minister, Chowma Mein was abducted for few hours in Itanagar at gunpoint.

Meanwhile, the leadership tussle emerged after the abduction and Gamlin was accused for the abduction.
