Anna Hazare's doctor advises against continuing maun vrat
Anna Hazare who is on a maun vrat (vow of silence) is facing a host of heath issues due to the same. Doctors checking on him has advised that Anna to break his vow of silence. The aged activist is also suffering from high blood pressure and back pain.
His personal physician, KM Sancheti did a mediacal check upon Anna Hazare on Friday after his BP shot up. He said, "I have advised him to reconsider his decision of continuing with the vow of silence (maun-vrat). He is also losing weight and suffering from back pains." The doctor has also advised a week of complete bed rest to Anna Hazare.
With trouble brewing within Team Anna following the various allegations, Anna had extended his maun vrat for a week more. He had stated in his blog that he was continuing his vow of silence in lieu of his health conditions. He added that he was having pain in the knees and said that speaking to people exhausted him.
His doctor, however said that, even if Anna did not speak, he was thinking extensively. This leads to increased stress, and thereby an increase in blood pressure.
Following his fragile health conditions, Anna Hazare had skipped the Team Anna core committee meeting in Ghaziabad on Saturday.
