Muammar Gaddafi
Libya, Oct 26: Slain dictator of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi believed till his death that the people of his country loved him despite of the fact that he was told that Tripoli had been taken over, said his bodyguard.

"He believed the Libyan people still loved him, even after we told him that Tripoli had been occupied," said Mansour Dao, as quoted in The New York Daily News.

He also revealed that Gaddafi insisted that he die in the land of his ancestors despite of the fact that he could have escaped easily, he said.

"I feel sorry for him because he underestimated the situation. He could have left and gotten out of the country and lived a happy life," said Dao.
