Rape
Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: A 16-year-old girl fled from home to escape from tortures by parents but a horrible destiny was waiting for her. The teenager was gang-raped by three men in Bhubaneswar.

The incident took place at Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar. The victim reportedly was waiting for a bus in Baramunda bus stand when she was offered cold water by one of the accused.

The teenager girl was allegedly gang-raped at one of the accused house near the bus stand. The girl, who was later discovered unconscious near a deserted place, has been handed over to a shelter house on Thursday, Oct 20.

However, different statements from the victim and the police created confusion as police said that the girl has not yet lodged any complaints against the accused, though the girl confirmed about the police complaint.

Describing the pathetic situation, the victim said, "I was waiting to catch a bus to go to my uncle's house at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district. A man came to me and offered me cold drink. He took me to his house and raped me. Two of his friends also forced themselves on me."
