Telangana: Employee's to end strike tomorrow?

Hyderabad, Oct 22: The month long strike of Telangana Employee's Joint Action Committe (TEJAC) is likely to end on Oct 23 as the striking employee's will hold talks with the Group of Minister (GoM) on Sunday (Oct 23). The employees will also participate in a discussion with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy later part of the day.

The move has come after the CM assurance Telangana staff that state government will take a delegation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to appeale him to take a early decision on Telangana.

Menwhile, state government received strong signals from Telengana Employee's Joint Action Committe core leaders on Oct 21 that they will back to talks with government on Sunday (Oct 23) and expected to calling off their strike immediately. This Sakala Janula Samme emerged as longest strike for Telangana after 37-day strike in 1969.

Meanwhile, Singareni Collieries and government teachers called off their strike last week. The indefinite strike by Telangana employee's started on Sep 13 and made state administration paralysed.
