The BJP leader was sent to a hospital hours after he was arrested by the Karnataka Lokyukta in a land denotification scam on Saturday. Following his ill health, Yeddyurappa filed for a bail petition in the High Court which is likely to be heard today.
Yeddyurappa's arrest sure has hit the BJP leader LK Advani's Jan Chetna Yatra which aims to focus at the issues of corruption and black money. But many continue to extend their support to the tainted minister.
"BSY is our political father. It is very painful to see him in this condition. We pray to the goddesses to give him good health - that is most important - that is the only prayer that we can have," said S Ramadas, Education Minister, Karnataka.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Karanataka and his cabinet minister's visited Yeddyurappa at the hospital on Sunday.
Yeddyurappa's arrest came after much drama. He was unavailable at his residence when the Lokayukta police went to arrest him but later surrendered himself at the Lokayukta High Court.
