Lokpal supporter, Kejriwal accused of misusing NGO funds

Ghaziabad, Oct 17: Two men claiming to be members of India Against Corruption (IAC) alleged that Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal was misusing NGO funds.

Sri Om and Vipin Nayyar who protested outside Arvind Kejriwal's house in Kaushambhi area claimed that they played a vital role in Anna's fight against corruption for a strong Lokpal Bill at the Ramlila Maidan but were ignored by the Team.

The men also accused the inner circle of Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Kiran Bedi of running the organisation and misusing public funds.

The protest was joined by some local residents who also alleged that Kiran Bedi received government funds through an NGO run by her.

The men also said that a huge communication gap existed between the members of the team and the volunteers.

Jainendra Singh, an associate of Kejriwal however refuted the charges and said that the sit in was plotted by other groups and Congress to defame Anna Hazare's supporters.

Arvind Kejriwal, before Anna's Hazare's anti-corruption fast was about to begin, was asked to pay a due of more than Rs 9 lakh by the Income Tax department.

Kejriwal was accused by the I-T department of not returning to government service after he was sanctioned study leave demanded that he return his two year's salary of Rs 3.50 lakh with an interest of Rs 4.16 lakh. Kejriwal also took a computer loan for Rs 50,000 which accumulated to Rs 1 lakh.
