Strauss-Kahn now involved in 'underage prostitution' row
A judicial inquiry in March found that the prostitution racket at the Carlton Hotel involved underage girls. The revelations were made initially by the French Closer magazine that claimed that it had in its possession prosecution documents that said that Kahn used prostitutes at the hotel. The magazine said, “The prostitutes and the go-betweens charging for sex indeed put forward the name of the husband of Anne Sinclair. According to one of the girls in the ring, Dominique Strauss-Kahn would have benefitted from her services."
The inquiry led to senior staff from the Carlton Hotel, including the manager and a public relations executive being arrested. They are believed to have acted as pimps for the hotel guests and have been charged for procuring prostitutes, organised conspiracy in criminal acts and money laundering.
The French magazine stated that it was sure of Strauss-Kahn"s involvement with the underage prostitutes. The publication is known for its bold investigative journalism.
