Drunk security guards bash up U-19 cricketer

Mumbai, Oct 13: A couple of security guards of Royal Classique building located in Andheri's Amboli area roughed up a 16-year old resident of the building. The guards accused him of bringing an autorickshaw in which he was travelling inside the building through the exit point.

Manan Hasmukh Khakkar, a student of Rizvi College and a member of Mumbai's U-19 cricket team along with his brother Prithivi and his friend Rohit Gupta came home in a autorickshaw. Following which, the trio engaged into a headed argument with the security guards who claimed that the boys had entered via the exit point which is against the rule of the building.

However, after sometime, the two drunk guards, Santosh Suman and Neeraj Singh, reached Manan's residence at sixth floor of the building and continued the argument and punched Manan.

When the situation went out of control, Manan finally called his uncle Rajesh Khakkar, who took the boys to Amboli police station and filed a complaint against the guards. But the police officials did not register a proper compliant, instead they started supporting the guards.

Later, Pandurang Pithe, sub-inspector, Amboli police station said that they have registered an NC against the guards and have fined them.

In reaction to the guards' complaints, Manan said that the rickshaw driver misunderstood the directions and entered through the exit point but security guards refused to hear their arguments.
