Anti-Kashmir comment: Anna's aide Prashant Bhushan beaten up
Showing the lack of security in the most "secured" area - Supreme Court, two persons attacked Mr Bhushan at his chamber in the apex court.
The assaulters who barged into his office brutally beat and dragged Mr Bhushan who fell on the floor.
Mr Bhushan had reportedly claimed that Kashmir should be separated from India. However, Bhushan, who was shocked after being attacked in his own chamber, claimed that he is being targeted for favouring referendum in Kashmir. Referendum is a popular vote by the electorate whether to approve a specific legislative act.
Meanwhile, different media reports claimed that Mr Bhushan was attacked as he, in an interview, had said that Kashmiri people should be given 'azadi' if they don't want to live with India and also reportedly recommended the withdrawal of Indian army from Kashmir.
Police arrested one person while another assaulter managed to escape the place. Mr Bhushan, after the attack, rushed to a near by police station and filed an FIR against the attackers who are said to be Ram Sena activists.
However, another group called Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena claimed the responsibility of the attack and tried to justify their act.
Updating their status in Facebook, the group said, "we hit prashant bhushan hard in his chamber in supreme court.if u will try to break my nation,i will break ur heads."
