Narendra Modi
New Delhi, Oct 11: The Supreme Court on Tuesday, Oct 11 snubbed Narendra Modi government stating that it will monitor all riot cases in Gujarat.

Dismissing Gujarat government's plea asking to stop monitoring 2002 riot cases, the apex court on Tuesday clarified that it will monitor the cases.

Following the central government, Gujarat government moved the Supreme Court claiming that charge-sheet over the cases have been submitted and trials also have been started.

The court, however, said that it would no longer monitor the investigations into the riots cases. The court also asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to submit a report (based on Zakia's complaint along with the amicus curies' report) in the trial court in Ahmedabad.
