Telangana turmoil: I'm neutral, says Chandrababu Naidu
Naidu was quoted as saying, “I belong to both the regions. I have said this in the past and I am saying it again. I'm adopting a neutral stand. I need to protect my party in both the regions (Telangana and Seemandhra). Centre and state governments have miserably failed to address public issues. Farmers are losing standing crops. They have to be compensated."
He added that people in the state are being penalised for no fault of theirs.
He accused the state government of not taking precautionary measures to overcome the Sakala Janula Samme mass agitation though it was aware of it in advance. The agitation had caused huge losses in the state.
