Vigilance raids Former DMK minister's houses

Chennai, Oct 4: Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-corruption raided the houses of former DMK minister MRK Panneerselvam and his relatives at Cuddalore, Chidambaram and Chennai.

Few days back, DVAC officials had raided former labour minister T M Anbarasan's house. On Tuesday, Oct 4, the vigilance raided the residences of Panneerselvam and his relatives. During the DMK regime, Panneerselvam had handled the backward communities and health portfolios. He failed in the state assembly election against Sorathur Rajendran of AIADMK in Kurinchipadi constituency in Cuddalore district.

On Aug 30, DVAC arrested the former higher education minister K Ponmudi on charges of land grabbing case in Chennai.
