It is believed that KCR decided to choose Rajghat as his fast venue as it will leave a great impact on the UPA government and the rest of the nation. Earlier, another follower of Bapu, Anna Hazare also visited Rajghat before resuming his fast at Ramlila Maidan for Jan Lokpal Bill.
According to sources, KCR also will meet top central leaders in New Delhi following his fast. However, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress' in-charge in Andhra Pradesh, claimed that discussion over the disputed issue (Telangana) is needed and final decision will be taken only after such meeting at national level.
Informing about the government's stand on the whole protest that crippled Telangana and rest of Andhra, Azad said, "The agitation is crippling life and affecting citizens, but should stop as government is in process of consultations over the issue."
The continuous protest demanding a separate Telangana state has entered the 20th day on Sunday, Oct 20. KCR's fast at Rajghat already grabbed nation-wide attention. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh along with other top leaders visited Rajghat and paid their tribute to Bapu.
