Cash-for-votes: NO bail for Amar Singh, time to go to Tihar
Sources informed that Amar Singh would move to the jail in Delhi once doctors give fitness report of the former Samajwadi Party leader.
Earlier on Tuesday, the court overruled Amar Singh's dream by claiming that the former Samjawadi Party leader will not be permitted to travel abroad for further treatment.
Amar Singh, who has been tainted in the cash-for-votes scam in 2008, sought permission from court to visit abroad for better treatment.
Amar Singh has been suffering from various ailments and is under the care of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) doctors. He was earlier granted an interim bail on health grounds after his health deteriorated after being jailed. He was arrested after being named an accused in the cash for voted scam that played out in the Parliament.
Having undergone a kidney transplant in Singapore earlier, Amar Singh's health is in a fragile condition and is prone to infections and other complications. He also has to visit the doctors there for his appointment. Following the arrest, Singh had to deal with UTI, increase serum creatinine, vitamin B12 deficiency and increased TSH.
The medical report given out by the AIIMS had revealed that Amar Singh suffered severe abdominal pain and was prone to infections due to the renal transplant.
