Sources claim the NIA investigation indicates that the same module of Indian Mujahideen may have carried out the blasts in Varanasi and Delhi , while the youths in Kishtwar were used only for sending the email after the Delhi blast. Hence, they are convinced that even if a new module had carried out the blast, it was part of some old module. The special cell had earlier brought forensic evidence from Varanasi to Delhi after the December 7 blast at the Dashwamedh and Shitla ghats.
Infact, no detonator or timer has been found at the spot. It is similar to the Delhi case in which the contents have been traced but no timer has been found. The ATS team, which investigated the blast at Varanasi's Sheetla Ghat last year, was sent after NIA Director General S C Sinha called up UP's Special DG (Law & Order ) Brij Lal two days ago.
The fact that three eyewitnesses in Delhi talked of seeing "someone with a bag'' planting a courier bag like item in front of high court's Gate No. 5 matches what a tourist at the ghat in Varanasi had seen - a youth carrying a similar bag towards the ghat.
