HC Blast: NIA releases one of three arrested youth

Jammu, Sept 24: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released Shariq Bhat, who was arrested in connection with an email which claiming the responsibility for the Sept 7 Delhi High Court blast. The blast left 15 people dead and over 90 injured.

Shariq who was detained on Sept 10 and later remanded in police custody was released on Sept 23 night. Meanwhile, two others arrested in the same ground, Abid Hussain and Aamir from Kishtwar are still in NIA custody in Delhi.

“I had firm belief in Allah that he would save and protect my innocent son," said Shariq's father Mohammad Rafi Bhat in Kishtwar. "But we all in the family have to work hard to bring him out of this mental trauma." he added. Shariq is a class 11 student.

The three youths were arrested after the NIA found an email sent to media houses a few hours after the Sep 7 Delhi blast from a cyber cafe in the Kishtwar town in Jammu and Kashmir. Which had claimed that the blast was carried out by the terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI).
