Ahmedabad, Sept 23: After his sadbhavna fast, Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi decided to hold a mega rally (yatra) near Gandhinagar on Sunday, Sept 25 against the injustice in the state.

Citing Modi's latest decision, it seems that the fast season, which was initiated by Anna Hazare for Lokpal Bill, is over and now the nation is witnessing a Yatra (rally) season.

Calling his rally a "mother of all rallies", the Gujarat CM set the slogan for the yatra - 'Anyaya Hatao, Gujarat Bachao' (Get rid of injustice, save Gujarat). BJP senior leader, LK Advani will also attend the yatra along with 5 lakh people.

The rally will mark a significant role in the state politics as it will be conducted just three days ahead of the next court hearing on the appointment of the new Lokayukta for the state.

The CM has also called for a two-day assembly session on Sep 27 and Sep 28 for implementing the Lokayukta Act to ensure that the state government or the Chief Minister have a decisive say in the appointment of the Lokayukta, which is not the case under the present Act.

Modi, earlier had held a three-day fast after the Supreme Court gave him a breather in the 2008 Godhra riots case. LK Advani also will conduct a nation-wide Rath-Yatra from Oct 11.
