New Delhi, Sept 23: The main opposition party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) once again on Friday, Sept 23 poked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over his "strong faith" on Home Minister P Chidambaram. BJP's Ravishankar Prasad Yadav hurled the fresh attack on the PM following a letter from finance minister Pranab Mukherjee who remarked Chidambaram of not doing enough to prevent 2G spectrum scam in 2008.

"Is your (PM) confidence in your colleague (Chidambaram) more important than the clear, transparent investigation in the worst scams since independence?," asked BJP leader while criticising Manmohan Singh.

However, following Yadav's questions, many have already started asking - is the Prime Minister's faith on the Home Minister indeed bigger than the doubts in the minds of the rest of the people in the nation. Many demanded a CBI enquiry on Chidambaram in order to clarify its own role in the whole second generation telecom scam.

BJP also reiterated its demand while stating, "BJP wants to know why CBI is not probing Chidambaram?" However, the BJP leader avoided questions regarding Chidambaram's offer to resign over the allegations against him (HM).

Earlier on the day, Manmohan Singh, overruling all speculations over crack in the UPA government and Congress, claimed that he has full confidence in Chidambaram and his integrity.
