Janrdhana Reddy
Bangalore, Sept 21: Bellary mining baron Janardhana Reddy owned ten lockers, allegedly piled up of platinum, gold and diamond ornaments in it, said CBI sources.

It has also been found that the mining baron along with his associates had booked 200 lockers out of the 350 lockers in a private bank in Bellary, said CBI sources.

CBI had earlier opened the locker of Srinivasa Reddy, Managing Director, Oblapuram Mining Company (OMC) and seized gold ornaments weighing 14 kg.

Investigations are on if Reddy and his aides own lockers in other banks in the city or elsewhere.

Sources also claim that the IT Department and CBI have accessed information over money being transferred by Reddy's foreign firms in Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Singapore, Dubai and Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Reddy is also accused of running a 'mamool raj' in Bellary and is believed to have gathered around Rs 1,000 crore from the fellow miners as his private royalty'. [Read more: Reddy collected Rs 1,000 cr from miners as private royalty']
