Tomato Na Milega Dobara: NO Tomatina fest in Bangalore

Bangalore, Sept 16: Karnataka Chief Minister, Sadananda Gowda made many people upset after cancelling the La Tomatina festival which was scheduled to be held at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore on Sunday, Sept 18.

Besides Bangalore police, the CM also instructed Mysore cops not to allow people to play the Spanish Holi with Tomato. Reminding people, especially the youth about the farmers' hard works, Gowda criticised the westernised culture of "misusing" tomato.

Indian youths are believed to have been inspired and excited after watching the Bollywood movie - Zindegi Na Milegi Dobara where the four lead characters in the film - Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol are seen participating in the La Tomatina festival. Meanwhile, social networking site - Facebook also witnessed a debate over the festival in the Silicon City. Where many youths updated their Facebook status requesting people not to participate in the fest, others have tarnished the proposals to have the fun with squashed tomatoes.
