Kannada film producers correct 'error',BAN on Nikita removed

Nikita Thakral
Bangalore, Sep 15: Kannada film producers association on Thursday, Sep 15 withdrew three years ban on actress Nikita Thukral claiming that they have realised it was wrong to put a ban on her.

Nikita was banned after her alleged love affair with Kannada superstar Darshan who has been arrested over domestic violation. The film association earlier had accused Nikita of creating problems in Darshan's family with her alleged affair.

Nikita earlier, expressing her reaction on the ban, had stated, "I am not somebody who wants publicity from injustice done to me, to me my family, friends and fans what they think about me really matters. Everybody knows that what happened is grave injustice to one and all actress by banning me for an act which I am not even aware or responsible for, I would not like to justify myself because the truth is apparent. I am really hurt by the entire situation and I would not like to comment any further. I thank at this point everyone that has stood by me especially my fans, artist, and my industry which has always been family to me thank you."

However, the producer association received stern criticism over their "discriminative" attitude towards the actress. The association did not impose any ban or action on Darshan but Nikita faced the wrath. Was it because of the orthodox attitude towards women?

Darshan was arrested for allegedly abusing his wife and threatening her and their child. Oneindia also reported about Darshan's abusive inclinations. t was revealed in the FIR that Darshan abused his wife when she was pregnant.
