Actor Darshan's health deteriorates, suffering from jaundice

Bangalore, Sep 11: "As u sow, so shall u reap", the poverb proved its original meaning in the case of Kannada actor Darshan. The superstar, who has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife initially was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi hospital for breathing problem. But, the latest feedbacks from the doctors say that the actor's health has worsened since he is attacked with jaundice, lung infection.

Dr Shashidhar Buggi, director, (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases) said the post-monsoon season causes asthma in many people. "We conducted a thorough check on him and found asthma and jaundice, both in early stages. In September, many asthma patients land in hospital," he said. “Darshan is a heavy smoker because of which there is infection in his lungs, aggravating the asthma," Dr. Buggi said.

"At Victoria Hospital, doctors discovered lung-related problems and immediately shifted him here," he said, adding, "An x-ray revealed asthma and blood samples showed early stages of jaundice."

The tests were scheduled for the entire day on Saturday. A team of senior doctors is treating Darshan. Darshan's detoriarating health condition might come as a shock and concern to his loyal fans across the state. Darshan will be discharged on Monday, Sep 12 from the hospital.
