Delhi blast suspect Sohaib's parents claim son's innocence

Jammu, Sep 10: The parents of Sohaib Sheikh, the youth who has been detained for purportedly sending the HuJI email claiming responsibility for Wednesday's blast outside the Delhi High Court, have claimed that their son is innocent and not involved at all in the incident.

"Our son is innocent. He is not at all involved in such an action," Mustaq Ahmed Sheikh, father of Sohaib said. Sohaib Sheikh is a BA first year student who was detained after a three-hour search at a college in Kishtwar. The email was sent from a cyber cafe in Kishtwar from the address [email protected].

Sheikh's parents said that investigation must be initiated against their son and he should be hanged if found involved in the matter.
