Delhi Blast: Two people held in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow Sept 9 : Two people were detained in Uttar Pradesh on Friday (Today) in link with Delhi High Court blast which left 13 people died and over 95 injured.The man detained at the Shivpur Police station in Varanasi was identified as Lekhma Ram, a resident of Ajmer and another one detained in Balrampur was identified as Shehzad, a permanent resident of Bela village, originally hailed from Pune as said by a top police officer of Uttar Pradesh.

"One person was detained in Varanasi and another in Bela village on the outskirts of Balrampur district, essentially on account of their resemblance with the sketch of suspects released by Delhi Police," said by a top police officer."However, nothing incriminating has come out during the course of their questioning so far," he said.

Earlier, on Thursday, Sept 8, five people were arrested from Jammu and Kashmir in connection to the email received from Indian Mujahideen (IM) who also claimed the responsibility of Delhi High Court blast after Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI).
