New Delhi, Sept 7: At least nine people were dead and 65 were brutally injured when a ghastly bomb blast shook the national capital on Wednesday, Sept 7. A suitcase bomb blast outside the Delhi High Court indeed put all troubles on the Home Minister, P Chidambaram.

Chidambaram, who had replaced Shivraj Patil after the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, seems to have faced the most horrible time in his tenure in the Home Ministry.

Recently, Mumbai witnessed the serial bomb blasts which left many people dead and more than 130 critically injured. Soon after the attack on Jul 13, 2011, Chidambaram reached Mumbai and assured the country men to handle the ghastly situation. However, the government has so far failed to identify and arrest the mastermind behind the blasts.

On Wednesday, the home ministry issued nation-wide terror alert and Chidambaram, during his Parliament speech, again assured that National Investigation Agency (NIA) will continue its investigation.

This was the second terror attack in the national capital within last three months. A bomb blast occurred on May 25, 2011 outside the same high court, however, fortunately there were no casualties.
