Cash-for-vote: Amar unwell, an excuse to skip court hearing?
On other hand, former BJP MPs, Mahavir Bhagora and Faggan Kulaste already reached the court. Both the ex-MPs claimed that they received bribe money.
Singh's close aide Sanjiv Saxena and the whistle-blower in the scam Suhail Hindustani were arrested earlier for their alleged role in the scam. Saxena had claimed that the former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader had provided him money to bribe the MPs in 2008.
The police said Saxena was arrested over the statements of now ex-BJP MPs Mahavir Singh Bhagora and Fagan Singh Kulaste, who named him (Saxena) as the person who had offered them money to abstain from voting during the trust motion moved by the UPA-I government.
Delhi Court Judge, considering Singh's physical ailment, has asked for the latter's medical reports. According to the court order, the medical reports and details have to be presented before the court today by 12.30 pm in the afternoon.
