Google breaks history, repeats Doodle on Father's Day
Google, which earlier on Jun 19 had featured a Father's Day special Doodle showing a 'tie' instead of the letter 'L' in the brand name GOOGLE, repeated the same Doodle on Sunday.
The special repeated Doodle appeared on the homepage of the technology giant in Australia. However, the Doodle did not appear on its homepage in India.
According to Wikipedia, Father's Day is a celebration of fathers inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother's Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting. Many countries celebrate it on the third Sunday of June but it is also celebrated widely on other days. The day typically involves gift-giving, special dinners to fathers, and family-oriented activities. The first observance of Father's Day actually took place in Fairmont, West Virginia on Jul 5, 1908.
Google always comes up with innovative new Doodles reminding its viewers about special events, days, occasions, life of great artists and scientists. But for the first time, technology giant has broken its history.
