With 137 passengers and crew, the flight departed from Bangalore and landed in emergency in Mumbai after finding some technical glitches. However, all passengers and others, who were present in the flight, are safe.
Earlier on Friday, a Turkish Airlines aircraft from Istanbul, with 104 passengers and crew on board, skidded off the taxiway at the international airport.
The landing gear of the Airbus 340-300 got stuck in mud near the runway, disrupting flight operations. Several flight operations have been disrupted over the issue.
The main runway of the airport remained shut till Saturday afternoon. Now, with the emergency landing of the SpiceJet flight, it seems that trouble could be increased for the authorities.
