Bhopal, Sep 1: A cash award of Rs 1 lakh has been announced by Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on who ever gives information on Shela Masood murder case.

Shehla Masood, RTI activist who was shot dead outside her residence in Bhopal had also written to Union environmental minister Jayanti Natrajan on Jul 25 against a collector who was allowing illegal mining.

Apart from that the RTI activist was being threatened by an IPS officer and feared for her life. She had even written a letter to Director General of Police complaining against the IPS officer for making threatening calls.

The CM also said that he would write to the CBI to take up the case.

Meanwhile, CBI will question BJP MP, Tarun Vijay's statement in connection with the murder case. A team from Bhopal arrived in Delhi on Sep 1(today) to record his statement.

Reports suggest that the RTI activist spoke on the phone to Tarun a day before she was killed. The MP however denied any involvement in her death.
