Old foes: BJP MLA throws slipper at Congress MLAs

BJP and congress flags
Jaipur, Aug 29: Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are always considered as the ardent enemies of each other. Continuing the saga, a woman BJP MLA on Monday, Aug 29 hurled her slipper at Congress MLAs in Rajasthan assembly.

Following the incident, the Rajasthan assembly was adjourned for half-an-hour. The BJP MLA, Bhavani Singh has been suspended from the assembly for one year.

The BJP MLA, Pramila Kundera accused Congress MLA, Raghu Sharma of allocating land for his wife illegally. Citing the allegations, all MLAs started ruckus in the assembly while Singh hurled her chappal (slipper) towards the Congress MLAs.

However, the slipper fell on an empty seat and no one was touched. Congress criticised the incident. BJP MLAs, however, held a rally outside assembly soon after the House was adjourned for the day.
