60 sacks of coins recovered

Jaipur, Aug 27: Sixty sacks full of Rs. 2 and Rs. 5 coins, which were about to be transported illegally from Jaipur to Ahmedabad, were seized on Friday, 26.

"The sacks were booked as parcel by an unidentified person. These were to be delivered to a factory in Ahmedabad but following a tip off, a special team seized the sacks," DCP, Jaipur South, Jose Mohan said.

He said preliminary investigation shows the coins are melted in the factory to prepare shaving blades. Five blades are prepared by melting one coin and the market price of each blade of that quality is around Rs. 100, he added.
