Salman Khan's men unleash 'himsa' on Anna activists
A police complaint has been filed against him by the India Against Corruption activists. Salman was returning after attending a function in Kakadeo in Kanpur. An activist and Rajya Party president Deepak Bharat has been quoted as saying, "His bodyguards hit us as soon as we moved near his vehicle. We just wanted to present him with Anna topis' and have his autograph on anti-corruption material. There was no provocation."
An eyewitness stated, "Salman's bouncers manhandled the activists when they approached his car. There was no provocation except the anti-corruption slogans the group was raising."
The commotion started when activists approached Salman's car shouting pro-Anna slogans. Following this, Salman's bodyguards allegedly hit Jan Rajya Party Omendra Bharat general secretary. He fainted and fell on the ground after the attack. The protestors later started shouting slogans against the actor and were seen arguing with police officials present there.
Inspector Upendra Singh Rathi said that the police were investigating the matter and added, "Necessary action would be taken if the charges are found to be true."
