New Delhi, Aug 24: The ruling UPA government has landed itself in the worst sort of soup in recent times and with the the top brass along with the Prime Minister brainstorming on how best to resolve the situation that is going from bad to worse. The one person the UPA is missing the most at this worst time is none other than Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Sonia Gandhi who is recuperating in the US after undergoing a surgery there is expected to be back in India this weekend or most likely in the first week of September. Sources have confirmed that she is making remarkable progress.

She is also constantly being updated on the issues regarding Anna Hazare. Congress party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi has been quoted as saying, "We always look forward to her guidance and also expect to have it in very near future. We surely miss the Congress President's presence but issues have to be dealt with even in her absence."

In her absence, Rahul Gandhi has stepped up to the responsibilities and is seen to have working closely to the party top brass at this moment of crisis.
