Ramdev's Ramlila; offers to take Anna's place to fast
The yoga guru who was evicted from the same venue on Jun 4 by the police was back to Ramlila Maidan, this time to support Anna Hazare.
Ramdev expressed his solidarity with Anna in his fight against corruption and demanded that the system be “transparent".
“The logjam should end soon," said Baba Ramdev.
Ramdev also added that justice be done and be meted out to “farmers, poor and the oppressed".
"We have to change our system. We will have to prepare ourselves for a bigger struggle. We will have to ensure justice to farmers, poor and downtrodden.
“Some people have betrayed the country. We have to fight against them. The wrongs committed in the last 64 years have to be corrected," he said.
Further talking on how he was pushed out of his fast mid way on the night of Jun 4, Ramdev said that the police which was under severe criticism, refrained itself from committing such blunders again.
“Because of the consequences of the police action then, the forces have not come here with batons this time," he said.
