The steps only seem to be making it look like Anna's fight against corruption has gained the momentum it needed. Creating an uproar across the nation, the new star on the block is no less popular in Tihar.
After Anna was arrested and lodged in Tihar on Aug 16, the Tihar inmates and officials in an awe of the Gandhian vowed their support to join him in his fast.
"Officials and inmates of #Tihar supporting #Anna Hazare fast, we invite Delhi Police to also join us #Janlokpal," read a tweet from JanLokpal on Wednesday, Aug 17 (today).
What seems obvious from blocking the broadcasting of all news channels in the jail is that the government is fearing an upheaval from the inmates as people across the nation have already joined their hands together in an effort to make the JanLokpal a success.
Meanwhile, there is news that Anna will come out of Tihar and would head to the venue where he would conduct his fast. According to sources, team Anna has been allotted two alternatives - JP Park or Ramlila Maidan, where he can conduct his fast.
Earlier, Baba Ramdev and Sri Sri Ravishankar were oustide Tihar Jail to meet the Anti-Corruption Crusader. While Ravishankar was given the permission to meet Anna Hazare, Baba Ramdev was denied permission for the same.
