Till Tuesday (Aug 16) midnight, more than 3,500 people were present outside the Tihar jail where Anna has currently been lodged. Anna, demanding unconditional permission to stage fast protest at JP Park, refused to accept his release order from the jail.
Citing the mass support for Anna outside the Tihar jail, many started speculating - will the government and police clamp section 144 at Tihar jail to disperse the protesters?
Supporters from all around the nation - students, elderly couples, even working professionals, all came out on roads to show their support for Anna and India Against Corruption movement. Anna's supporters were seen dancing, singing outside the jail showing support for the crusader.
Meanwhile, Kiran Bedi, Shanti Bhushan, Swami Agnivesh - some of the eminent members of Team Anna, are likely to launch a fresh protest outside the jail on Wednesday, Aug 17.
Another aide to Anna, Manish Sisodia said, "Anna is ready to stay inside the jail itself, for as many days. He has set a condition before the jail authorities that let him go on fast for indefinite days at JP Park and he will come out of jail. If he is forcibly sent out, his fast will start from outside the jail itself. Now, our struggle has begun from here itself."
