The arrest of Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia early morning seem to have fired up the cause with Anna Hazare supporters across the country and outside emerging in hoards to show their support to a good Lokpal Bill. They are also gathering to protest against the illegal detention and eventual arrest of the Gandhian Hazare for engaging in a peaceful protest on the government's scaled down version of the Lokpal Bill.

With the public anger at an all-time high, team Anna has pleaded with corporate houses to declare an off for 1 or 2 days and let employees participate. Prashanth Bhushan has been quoted as saying, "Corruption free India is your duty too."

New York - Times Square at 12 pm

With the Anna Team presently being spearheaded by Activist-lawyer Prashant Bhushan, they plan to organize a protest march from 4pm on Aug 16 where they will march from Pragati Maidan metro station to JP Park. The protestors intend to sit on a dharna for the cause.

Bhushan also said that another more elaborate march is expected to take place on Wednesday at 4pm from India Gate to Parliament House. He appealed all supporters to come out to march and also requested government employees to take mass leave for a day.

Team Anna also sought all supporters to wear black bands and to use social media and SMSs to help gather more people.

A total of 3500 people have already been detained by police in various parts of the country.
