“Though the seers who conducted the devaprasnam have not given their final recommendations (prasnacharthu) the family has decided to conduct all the necessary rituals," said an official from palace.
According to the seers, not observing key rituals, the remissness in the performance of others, inappropriate behaviour of the temple staff and neglecting of associated shrines to a large extent created upheaval in the ambiance of the temple following which there were predictions of thefts, bloodshed and unfavourable outcome for the custodians.
There are reports that the royals would conduct key rituals and conduct murajapam, a ritual where priest chant vedas for 56 days. Other rituals are Mrityunjaya Homam, Maha Sudarshana homam and Chakrabja Pooja. The seers predict that non observing some rituals would bring bad luck to the temple.
