After Anna's arrest, anti-corruption crusader shot dead
According to reports, the anti-corruption crusader and RTI activist Shehla Masood was shot dead in front of her residence in the posh Koh-e-Fiza locality. The reports also added that she recently participated in a fast supporting Anna Hazare's 'India Against Corruption' campaign.
Meanwhile, sources from Delhi police informed that Anna Hazare and four other social activists including Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal were taken to an unknown destination. After picking up Team Anna from Anna's residence, police said that they were taken under preventive detention. Later police filed their arrest for defying orders.
The arrest of Team Anna Hazare has sparked protest all over the nation. Supporters who demand a strong Lokpal Bill to fight against growing corruption in the country, held protest marches in various parts of the country. More than 40 Anna Hazare supporters were arrested form Nerul area of Mumbai.
Following the crack down of Anna's fast, both houses of the Parliament witnessed ruckus by opposition parties led by Bharatiya Janatha Party. BJP demanded the government to release Anna Hazare and apologize to the nation for his arrest.
