Noida put on high alert ahead of I-Day

Noida, Aug 14: On the eve of Independence Day, security has been beefed up in Noida and city has been put on a high alert.

SSP Jyoti Narayan supervised the border areas and directed police and paramilitary personnel to remain extra vigilant.

Additional force has been deployed at markets, metro stations and other sensitive areas in the city. At Metro Parking lots, policemen were seen keeping track of vehicles.

Sniffer dogs were also pressed into service to detect explosives, if any, at vital installations.

Police are also scanning guest houses and hotels and directed their owners to report if they spot any suspicious person.

Meanwhile, District Magistrate Hridesh Kumar wished the residents and said a campaign has been launched to provide transparent and corruption free administration and fast mode of development.

Public welfare schemes have been made transparent in the district, he said.
