Kolkata, Aug 13: West Bengal has been witnessing a political turmoil since last few weeks. With her latest weapon, Mamata Banerjee government hurled a fresh attack on CPI(M). After arrest of former CPI(M) minister Sushanta Ghosh, CID on Saturday, Aug 13 raided his residences at Midnapore.

Ghosh has been accused of killing seven Trinamool Congress workers nine years ago and remained untouched with the party power.

Ghosh was arrested on Thursday in connection with the recovery of seven skeletons from near his ancestral house in West Midnapore district on Jun 2.

West Bengal Assembly on Friday witnessed uproarious scenes over Sushanta's alleged involvement in the murder cases. Ruling bench demanded the arrest of former chief minister of the state - Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

Government Chief Whip Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay said during Zero Hour that Ghose, the former minister of Pascham Anchal Unnayan Affairs, had indulged in "mass killing with full knowledge of the former chief minister".

He demanded that Bhattacharjee be arrested and interrogated as also Deepak Sarkar, a key CPIM leader in West Midnapore district.
