Helsinki, Aug 12: While its smartphones face down trend in the market, the world's largest mobile phone maker Nokia has been keeping their hope on its upcoming smartphones powered with Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system.

The Finland-based Nokia claimed that their new smartphones will offer better interface and cloud experience than the market leader Apple iPhones and Android smartphones. Moreover, a top Nokia official called the Apple's iOS and Google Android as "outdated".

While speaking to technology blog VentureBeat, Chris Weber, President of Nokia, head of North America added that tough Apple and iOS brought modern user interface with "pinch and zoom", it forces people to download multiple applications which they then have to navigate between.

Also, Nokia official hoped that Nokia smartphones can beat Apple and Android with its cloud service. He added that Nokia's strategic partnership with Microsoft in cloud technology will help the company to offer cross-platform services in the enterprise and better phone integration of various mail systems.

Weber said Nokia WP7 users will get a mix of personal storage and cloud services through things like Office 365, and private enterprise cloud offerings. Users can store files to cloud using smartphones.
