Farmers duped by fraud finance company
The farmers were cheated by Om Finance Company and the offences were lodged on Tuesday at the Bamani police station.
According to the complaint, main accused K L Khusbha promised Kotha village farmers of giving them loans against land documents, house property document and salary-slips through the company and the farmers were told that the head offfice of the company is situated at Golai Market in Jalgaon.
Even two villagers of Kotha village, Sampat Chavan and Sanjay Rathod had gone to Jalgaon along with accused to confirm the office address following which other accomplices of the accused interacted with the duo regarding the details of loans.
After this, the two villagers were recruited as their agents to deal loan matter with the farmers. An assurance was also made by the company that the loan matter would be finalised within 45 days. The company promised Sampat and Sanjay a handsome commission for the loan cases put before them.
Both of them had sent 83 farmers proposals to the finance company from Jintur, Selu, Parli-Vaijanth, Manwat and Pathari area. They informed to the farmers that each farmer will have to pay Rs. 5100 for official expenses to get loans. A total Rs. 15 lakh were collected from various places of Marathwada tehsils by the accused.
As per the assurance given by the company, the farmers waited for 45 days but did not get anything from the company. Immediately, Sampat and Sanjay contacted the company following which the cheating case came to light.
Investigations revealed that the Jalgaon office was closed. The duo then filed a complaint with the police against accused Khushba and aides B S Patel, his wife Hariom, Prem Thakur, R P Singh and Mohite.
